Let's get into a few details on the bag. For starters, when worn on the shoulder, the bag rests slightly above waist level (I am 5'4" so I'm sure this fact will differ slightly based on your height). This is not one of those bags where the strap doubles up for a shorter length or a cross body option (think any of the classic flap bags). For variety, you may also carry the bag as a top-handle but I tend to avoid doing so, as I don't want to put undue strain on the leather fastenings.

The bag is divided into two main compartments, with one section significantly larger than the other. In the main section there's enough room for a long wallet, phone, keys, and lipgloss (that's what I carry at least!). I try not to overfill the bag as I don't want to stretch it out risk any possibilities of leakage (i.e. if you tend to carry around lotion or perfume). I like to keep is as simple as possible.
Also, I would like to touch briefly on the nature of the calf leather-- it is prone to scratching! Even the slightest intention of a fingernail will leave a mark. I understand it is less delicate than the iconic buttery lamb skin, but still take precautions while wearing this bag! It will wrinkle over time and with use, age the leather naturally. Aside from my crystal logo earrings, this is my first Chanel and I am beyond satisfied with it :)
